Arxspan Announces Opening of Japan Office and the Appointment of Akihito Usa as Japan Country Manager

Southborough, MA, USA – May 1, 2014 – Arxspan, a leading provider of web based applications to manage research data, announced today the opening of its Japan office and the appointment of Akihito Usa as Japan Country Manager. In this capacity, Mr. Usa will be responsible for all commercial activities for Arxspan in Japan. Mr. Usa brings to Arxspan 25 years of successful sales and marketing experience in the cheminformatics field.

Prior to joining Arxspan, Usa was a Vice President of Pacific Operations at PerkinElmer, establishing the company’s Japan subsidiary and managing sales, field marketing, and services for its electronic laboratory notebook and chemical analysis tools. Previously, Usa served as Managing Director of cheminformatics provider MDL Information Systems Japan, managing pre- and post sales, consulting, and administration. In addition, Usa served in sales and general management roles at Kubota Computer, Simulation Technology, and Japan Radio Company. He holds a BS Degree in Information & Communication Technology from Tamagawa University.
